Your Perfect Pokémon Tales: Z-A Mega Evolution Based on the Astrological Sign
This comeback of Mega Evolutions in Pokémon Legends: Z-A has ignited immense excitement across the community. Starting with the gradual unveiling of fresh additions before the game's release, to players developing strong views on the full lineup of new Megas, there's plenty for fans to look forward to.
Given many of the Super Forms showcasing distinctive designs that highlight their personalities, one idea came to mind: What's the best way to connect this with zodiac signs? This list is inspired by a mix of vibes, sign stereotypes, and individual observations.
Aries – Super Camerupt
Honestly, Houndour's evolution was almost selected for Aries, as they are the Super Form and zodiac symbol that evoke the most fear. However, a Mega Houndoom appears as constantly furious, which doesn't match the Ram's energy, known for being fun, light-hearted, and impulsive. This makes the Ram much more similar to Mega Camerupt, which only erupts when provoked. Stay on the good side of both and enjoy a powerful ally; should you offend them, be ready to face the consequences.
The Bull – Mega Heracross
Similar to a devoted Bull, the steadfast Heracross, both in its regular and Super Form, has assisted many players in Legends: Z-A. Though dependable, each the creature and a Taurus are also Fighting types, and – be it their trainer or a strong opinion – will stand up for their position unwaveringly. The thing about Super Heracross that reminds me most of my Taurus friends, though, is its unashamed passion for snacks. Several previous official descriptions note their craving for tasty sap and how it employs its appendage to hoard it all, which is true Taurus energy.
Gemini – Mega Medicham
Observe this total queen. You cannot convince me this Pokémon is not the life of any gathering, offering an endless fountain of gossip to those who wish to hear. Much like an captivating, sociable Twins, it's incredibly simple to envision Super Medicham mesmerizing an whole Wild Zone with their tales. This Pokémon's official description also mentions its capacity to predict an enemy’s future actions, which sounds very like a socially-savvy Twins.
The Crab – Mega Manectric
The Crab is widely regarded as the most sensitive member of the zodiac, a passionate sign famous for often becoming absorbed in their feelings. According to the Pokédex, Super Evolution fills the creature with a “huge amount of energy, but it's excessive for Manectric to fully control,” which seems a lot like a typical Crab crash-out. It is also recognized for its ability to make a storm cloud over its own self – and if there’s one thing a Cancer is likely to do, it’s spoil their own parade.
The Lion – Super Starmie
Oh, did you assume I was going to select Pyroar for the king of the stars? Aside from the fact that it would be far too obvious, The Lion is obviously Super Starmie, the star whose legs just went viral for being extremely fabulous (or terrifying, depending on your taste). Players were captivated from the purple sea star, and that’s precisely the same energy a Leo offers to the scene. Starmie is also said to be broadcasting signals from its center out into the cosmos, and it’s just like a Leo to be putting on a show, even if for extraterrestrials.
Virgo – Super Victreebel
The always-ready and constantly-worried Maiden is perfectly encapsulated in Super Victreebel, the Mega with perpetual acid reflux. The sign known for being endearingly critical is clearly reflected throughout this creature's whole evolutionary chain, from a always shocked expression like a Maiden when you inform them you lack a 401(k), to its upside-down face that’s similar to the symbol a Maiden sends to the group chat when all says they want to “be spontaneous” instead of creating a plan.
Libra – Super Audino
Look at this gentle, sensitive being, who employs the feelers on its ears to tell how others are feeling by their heartbeat. Always empathetic – sometimes to a detriment – and trying to maintain the peace, there are numerous Libras who would probably benefit from Super Audino's skills. However, to be frank, it would probably just make them worry more about everyone else.
Scorpio – Mega Banette
This Ghost-type is a creature with a unexpectedly sad backstory: Discarded as a toy, it became sentient through sheer resentment and swore revenge on its former owner. Per the official info, Super Evolution, “enhances its spitefulness.” That sounds exactly like several conversations I’ve had with my scary Scorpio acquaintances. A Scorpio loves cosmic justice and comeuppance, making them the ideal pair with Mega Banette.
Sagittarius – Super Hawlucha
Both Super Hawlucha and Archers are always staging a performance. Being a Sagittarius personally, the amount of occasions I’ve called myself some version of a “silly small jester” is countless. The most flamboyant and most attention-seeking Super Form, its description even notes how it “poses to show off its power.” I would do the exact same thing if I had a Mega evolved form, making Mega Hawlucha the most fitting Sagittarius counterpart I can imagine.
Capricorn – Mega Absol
Were you aware that a Mega Absol has the ability to foresee calamities in advance? That exudes the exact same energy as a Goat, who tends to always think they’re correct. The thing is, similar to a prophetic Mega Absol, they frequently are. It’s also the absolute initial Mega Evolution that trainers meet in Legends: Z-A – typical of a Goat to get in on the beginning of the Mega trend.
The Water Bearer – Mega Chandelure
Aloof air sign Aquarius is arguably the non-fire placement that is closest to a fire sign – its counterpart is Leo, and there are numerous jokes about Sagittarius and Water Bearer being unpredictable partners in crime. Super Chandelure's double Ghost/Fire category fits perfectly with this, and the Super Form's overall intimidating aura is also very Aquarius. If you hadn't yet convinced, the Super Form's Pokédex entry says it “draws in negative energy and converts it into strength.” If that doesn’t perfectly {encaps
