Mohamed Salah Issues Statement to Teammates, Says Curtis Jones
Jones has shared that the Egyptian forward said sorry to the team after the fallout from his televised remarks.
What Happened
Salah was left out from a European match subsequent to making accusations and stating his relationship with manager had deteriorated.
“Salah is an individual and he can say his own stuff,” Jones revealed. “He apologised to us and was like: ‘Should anyone feel slighted, I apologise.’”
Arne Slot has refused to disclose on whether he got an explanation from the 33-year-old forward.

Jones insisted that the squad's reaction remained positive. “Nothing about him changed, his demeanour was positive and it was business as usual,” the midfielder explained.
He also implied that a teammate fighting for a place is preferable. “It's clear there are different methods you can go about things,” he said. “However, if a player is content to just not start, then I think that’s a bigger problem.”
Positive Results
The team's performance have been impressive in the games following the interview fallout. Jones believes the Salah's words were not designed to harm the team.
“When there’s been any sort of anger, it’s always been from a good place,” the midfielder stated. “That chapter is closed and we’re building chemistry, getting results and securing victories.”
